My Journey to Saint Joseph Street

I remember the first time I went back home after six years in Canada. It was quite something. It looked like the place had changed a lot. But it didn't. I changed. It was a strange feeling. I had the same reaction last week when I went to 6 St Joseph street downtown Toronto. For over six months I have been to this place literally every Sunday. And every Sunday, it is the same quiet and clean place where everything is where it should be. I noticed though a number of inspirational quotes everywhere in the room. What a surprise when I went there during the week! It was like I had never been there before. You know me well now. The best way to catch my attention is to give me free food lol. They sure did. This place is unbelievable. Now you are asking yourselves: what the heck is he talking about? That is a good question. I am speaking about 6 Saint Joseph House where Goal Achievers meetings are held. When I joined the group, they were meeting at this place, and I did not ask an

My Journey to the NBA Playoffs

By reading the title of my blog you may think that, I am either an NBA player, or I went to watch those games live. I wish. It seems though that I have been doing both. I won’t tell you my age, but I started watching NBA games in 1986 (I know, some of you were not born yet lol). We used to go to my friend Alex’s place to watch games on VHS tapes (I hope you know what those are), and we knew all the good players (Jordan, Magic, Bird, Ewing…). I became fascinated by the game (almost addicted); to the point that now my schedule goes around those games, especially during the Playoffs. For me, sport in general, and Basketball in particular, is a school of life. Think about Michael Jordan for a second. He is making over forty five million dollars a year and he has been retired for year. I believe he put the NBA on the world map. Now every kid wants to be like Mike (I wished they wanted to be like the Journeyman, why not?) Do you know that it took eight years for MJ to win his first champ

My Journey to a Breakfast

I remember the last time I was in New York, a friend of mine came into my hotel room with lots of food. I thought it was just for her, but she brought some for me too (how could I refuse). I asked her why she had brought food me, to which she replied: “I read you blog. I know that when it comes to food, you are always open to opportunities”. Somebody is reading my blog.... I shared the story with our guests at our seminar last Saturday and I told them that it was my time to give back. I offered to pay for breakfast for those who were interested in learning more about what we do at Goal Achievers. I had 7 hungry (lol) people at our first breakfast and it looks like I will be doing it every week-end (are you interested?). It was awesome (I mean the food lol). I will get back to the breakfast story in a second. They are showing Derrick Rose and the Bulls on TV. What an impressive win over Lebron and company! So where was I? Oh yes. The breakfast thing. It was magic. People who thought

My Journey to a Seminar

It has been a while since I had an entire day to rest. On Saturday I went to bed at 9 PM (I think it is the first time I ever went to bed this early). I was so exhausted that I couldn't stand (which leaves me wondering if that is the reason why my Lakers lost on Sunday?). Saturday was a dream come true for me. I have spoken in front of hundreds of people before, but this particular event had something special to it. We had a line up of amazing speakers, guests showed up as expected and I had so much fun being on the stage sharing my story. I had great feedback and many of our guests expressed interest in meeting up with me so that I could share with them what we do at Goal Achievers. It was eight years ago that Paul and I used to meet for breakfast almost every Saturday to talk about what we wanted to do in the future (one of them being Paul paying for the breakfast lol). As I was waiting for my turn to speak on Saturday, I couldn't help but notice the smile on Paul's fac

My Journey to a Meeting with my Publisher

For the first time ever in almost two years, this is the first time that I forgot to write my blog on Monday. Can you believe that? Please don't boo me. I know you couldn't sleep last night waiting for this week's blog in vain. I have to apologize, but once I tell you the reason why, you may forgive me (if I forget again, I will all buy you diner. Hope you won't be so hungry). My Publisher happened to be in town and he was conducting a two and half day intensive workshop called “Publish your way to profit”. Do you think I was going to miss this one? No way. When I said “intensive”, it is an understatement. It was so intensive that I forgot to write my blog on Monday. Do you forgive me now? What a week-end! Everything I wanted to know about publishing a book was covered in the workshop. Do you know the best part? I am glad I am THIS attractive (why are you laughing? Don't you find me attractive?). It happened that, in the audience, there was Canada's most succe
