My Journey With Skylar

This is a first. I am writing my blog from a phone. I love technology. However, I am typing so slowly it is so funny to see. I guess that is why you are reading it on Tuesday instead of Monday. It's been a few weeks that I have my new phone and I am enjoying every bit of it. There is a learning curve of course but so far so good. I love watching my now favourite show "The Shark Tank". My wife said to me that I have become addicted to the show and I think that she is right. Speaking of my wife, she has now started college and she is really having fun. I haven't seen her this serious and focused and determined. And the results are showing. I am really proud of her. With my wife going to school Monday to Friday, I have to rearrange my schedule accordingly (waking up at five in the morning is now a piece of cake). I am spending most of my day time with our daughter Skylar and I am having a blast. I have learned so much about our daughter because of the time we s

My Journey to a Discovery

Hello fellows What a week! I finally got a new phone, mainly because my friend Ama often tease me that I am always behind in getting up to date  technology. The other (minor) reason is that my old phone was giving me hard time in getting myself heard by the person on the other side of the conversation. I can't wait to show her my new phone (just to show off) I am glad I did buy a new phone, as I am discovering some great stuff  phones can do nowadays. It is really impressive. Last week's news were dominated mainly by Lance Armostrong finally admiting that he had been using drugs to help him perform better. For over a decade, not only has he been denying everything, but he was so hard on those who were accusing him. As I was discussing the matter with my wife, she just said: "who are we to judge him? Nobody is perfect". To which I agreed. However, I heard someone say that "to whom much is given, much is required". For someone like Lance, people had

My Journey With Abraham Lincoln

For movie fans, this is the seasons for different awards. The Golden Globes just passed, the Oscars are around the corner. I have to say that last year, I did not have enough time to go to watch movies (except on DVDs), but one movie cought my attention. It is a movie about President Abraham Lincoln. In my opinion, his is one of, if not, the greatest US Presidents. He is most known for his decision to abolish slavery, but his journey is simply oustanding, not for only for his accomplishments, but mainly his ability to overcome adversity. Check this out:   1832: Lost job. Defeated for state legislature  1833: Failed in business  1835: Sweetheart died   1836: Had nervous breakdown   1838: Defeated for Speaker   1843: Defeated for nomination for Congress   1848: Lost renomination   1849: Rejected for land officer   1854: Defeated for U.S. Senate   1856: Defeated for nomination for Vice President   1858: Again defeated for U.S. Senate  1860: Elected President

My Journey to A Year of New Beginnings

Just be true to yourself and admit that you missed my blog. Am I right? I know you did Now I am back and for good. I hope you enjoyed the hollidays. As far as I am concerned, I can say that I did enjoy the hollidays as I was ending a year of 2012 full of surprises. The good news is that the world did not end on December 21st as predicted lol Throughout the hollidays, a text that I read almost ten years ago was on my mind constantly. I just wanted to share it with you. Maybe many of you have seen it, but everytime that I read it, it does gives me hope for some reasons. The author is unknown, but whoever wrote this piece was thinking of me. Here it is. Enjoy Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be, your neighbor, your coworker, a long lost friend, or a complete stranger.
